Introduction to transportation planning course aimed at providing introductory level information regarding the transportation systems in general. All transportation modes (roadway, railway, water, and air transportation) will be briefly covered with giving slightly more time for roadway transportation and planning. This course focuses on the multi-dimensionality of transportation issues including technology, policy, planning, and engineering aspects. Additionally, the course examines the transportation within a broader social, political, economic and environmental context.
